In the Spotlight – Holly Stead, Designer

In the spotlight this month is our fab design wizard and Northern gem, Holly Stead.
Find out more about her below and why she is one of the most smiley team members we’ve ever had!

Tell us More About You:

I love being a designer at Adao and I’m passionate about designing for the best UX experience with everything I create, be that print or digital, I believe in designing with empathy for the viewer, user, and client. 

We work with some amazing clients that ask us to work on fantastic projects and, within my role, I work closely with the fab team at Hermes UK and creating exciting campaigns, event marketing and developing digital strategies. 

Becoming a designer has been a dream come true, I was lucky enough to have family that, even though they didn’t quite understand what I’d end up doing, supported me to chase my dream.

I have worked in Marketing Agencies since Graduating Teesside University, working with large corporations and small start-ups. I’ve been blessed to work on some amazing campaigns, new products, and creative website projects.

Whilst I was ‘chasing the dream’ dueing college and Uni, I trained as a Royal Navy Reservist at HMS Calliope in Newcastle. It was a brutal but wonderful experience and a huge part of my life. I met people from all sorts of backgrounds, it was both physically and mentally exhilarating and I got to travel all over the UK and overseas for various training exercises.

On the weekend I love being outdoors, rain or shine with my gorgeous Cockador puppy called Piper @piperthecockador. She is my absolute world and a great companion.

I enjoy running in the summer and skiing in the winter to stay fit. I love spending time with my family, most of them are now living in Australia so I try to get over as often as I can…. (Im off on a lil trip next week! Eek). Yes I am a Neighbours fan.
